Orion Innovation, a globally recognized digital transformation and product engineering firm, is seeking a seasoned Front End Lead Developer to drive technical excellence across multiple client projects. Based in the Pune/Pimpri‑Chinchwad hub, you will work in a hybrid model (12 days in‑office) leading a talented front‑end team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a delivery team of front‑end engineers.
- Define, enforce, and evolve engineering standards, code quality gates, and best practices for Angular codebases.
- Conduct thorough code reviews focusing on readability, performance, accessibility, and security.
- Architect and deliver production‑grade Angular applications, handling bundling, optimisation, minification, tree‑shaking, and build configurations.
- Implement robust unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing strategies using Jasmine/Karma, Jest, and Playwright.
- Collaborate closely with back‑end, product, UX, and platform teams to translate requirements into scalable UI solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience building large‑scale Angular applications.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, modern front‑end architecture patterns, and state‑management solutions (e.g., NgRx, Akita).
- Strong command of Git version control, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub or Azure DevOps).
- Proven track record of implementing performance optimisations, lazy loading, and accessibility (WCAG) compliance.
- Hands‑on experience with testing frameworks: Jasmine/Karma, Jest, Playwright.
Nice to Have
- Experience with micro‑frontend architectures.
- Knowledge of server‑side rendering (Angular Universal) and progressive web apps.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerisation.
