PHP Developer

About the Role

Levelx Micro is expanding its development team in Kerala and is looking for a motivated PHP Developer. You will work on maintaining existing applications, adding new features, and ensuring the performance and security of our MySQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP and related technologies.
• Maintain and enhance existing MySQL databases, write optimized queries, stored procedures, and manage indexing.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate user‑facing components with server‑side logic.
• Design, optimize, and manage database schemas for high‑performance applications.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging web technologies and database best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong knowledge of PHP and OOP principles.
• Excellent understanding of MySQL database design, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong debugging and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
• Knowledge of Linux server administration.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
