Senior PHP Laravel Backend Engineer / ERP Architect – Scalable ERP & Microservices

About the Role

GITCS is seeking two senior PHP Laravel professionals to lead the design and development of large‑scale, enterprise ERP platforms and microservices‑based applications. You will own end‑to‑end backend architecture, build high‑performance APIs, and ensure the system scales to millions of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable ERP solutions using Laravel and related ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain microservices, ensuring loose coupling and high availability.
• Design RESTful APIs and integrate with front‑end, mobile, and third‑party systems.
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing for MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and DevOps teams to deliver features in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 7+ substantial ERP implementations (large‑scale, multi‑module).
• Deep expertise in PHP 8+ and Laravel (including Queues, Events, Octane, Horizon).
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and Docker/Kubernetes deployment.
• Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and using API documentation tools (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Advanced SQL skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and test‑driven development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ERP modules such as Finance, Inventory, HR, or CRM.
• Knowledge of event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with front‑end frameworks (Vue.js, React) for full‑stack collaboration.
• Contributions to open‑source Laravel packages.
