How to Choose a Web Developer
Choosing a developer is like choosing a business partner. The wrong choice can cost you time, money, and your online reputation.
1. Check Their Own Website First
If a developer's website is slow, buggy, or looks dated, imagine what they will build for you. Look for technical excellence on their own domain.
2. Ask for Previous Case Studies
Don't just look at pretty pictures. Ask: What problem did you solve for this client? Did their sales increase? A real developer thinks about your business, not just the code.
3. Direct Communication
Avoid agencies where you only talk to sales reps. You should be able to speak directly to the person building your site. This is why founder-led studios in Punjab (like Coding's Art) are often more successful for small projects.
Technical Checklist
- Do they use modern frameworks (Laravel, React, Vite)?
- Do they provide SSL and security updates?
- Is the code owned by you or their agency?
