Senior Software Engineer – PHP

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer – PHP, you will join our Hyderabad engineering hub to build and evolve high‑performance, scalable fintech platforms that power AI‑driven AR workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core PHP services using Laravel and modern OOP practices.
• Lead technical decisions, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and UI teams to deliver end‑to‑end features that leverage AI insights.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and micro‑services that integrate with our payment and cash‑application engines.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of production systems on AWS.
• Drive CI/CD adoption using Docker, Git, and automated testing frameworks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience developing enterprise‑grade PHP applications.
• Strong expertise in Laravel, Composer, and modern PHP (7.4+).
• Deep knowledge of MySQL, query optimization, and relational data modeling.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and integrating third‑party services.
• Hands‑on experience with Git, Docker, and AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test‑driven development.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a passion for clean, maintainable code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/ML model integration or data pipelines.
• Knowledge of event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Kubernetes or container‑orchestration experience.
• FinTech domain exposure, especially in payments or invoicing.
