About the Role

Join Google's engineering team at the Bengaluru campus (RMZ Infinity / Bagmane Tech Park) as a Mobile Engineer focused on the Android Platform & Ecosystem. You will design, develop, test, and ship high‑impact features that serve billions of users across Google’s suite of products.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement scalable Android components and libraries used across multiple Google products.
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
Drive performance, reliability, and security improvements at Google scale.
Own the full development lifecycle: code, code‑review, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring.
Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in Android development.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of professional Android development experience.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
Hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture.
Expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs, handling offline sync, and data persistence.
Solid understanding of Android performance profiling, memory management, and security.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Espresso.

Nice to Have

Experience with Google Play Services, Firebase, or other Google Cloud mobile offerings.
Contributions to open‑source Android projects or published libraries.
Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) or cross‑platform frameworks.
