Python Developer – Data Science Platform

About the Role

Tower Research Capital is a global leader in systematic trading and technology. As a Python Developer you will work on the core data science platform that powers our research and trading teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based data pipelines supporting global trading research.
• Build robust ETL processes ingesting internal and external data sources.
• Research and implement advanced visualisation solutions for complex datasets.
• Enhance frameworks to optimise usage of cloud and on‑prem compute/storage clusters.
• Improve, test, and document existing in‑house tools for reliability and supportability.
• Automate support workflows to increase operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3‑5 years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL.
• Hands‑on experience building ETL pipelines and working with large datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerisation (Docker).
• Version control using Git and CI/CD concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with low‑latency systems or FPGA technologies.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow).
• Exposure to financial markets or trading systems.
