About the Role
Globant is looking for a senior‑level Java architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade Agentic AI solutions. You will combine deep Java expertise with cutting‑edge generative AI techniques to build intelligent agents that integrate seamlessly with our clients' core systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and deploy scalable Java‑based microservices that power Agentic AI applications.
- Design end‑to‑end workflows for AI agents, including prompt engineering, tool calling, and structured output handling.
- Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
- Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of AI‑enabled services across multi‑region deployments.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven track record designing microservices, RESTful APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Hands‑on experience building or integrating Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain‑Java, LlamaIndex, custom Java wrappers for LLMs).
- Deep understanding of LLM integration, prompt engineering, function calling, and multi‑agent orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Familiarity with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
