About the Role
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a seasoned Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance data solutions for our Chennai delivery centre. You will work closely with analytics, data science, and business teams to turn raw data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimise scalable Snowflake data warehouses.
- Build, test, and maintain DBT models and transformation pipelines.
- Develop data processing workflows using Python and PySpark.
- Write complex, performant SQL queries for large‑scale datasets.
- Architect and manage end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Perform performance tuning, clustering, and resource optimisation in Snowflake.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve platform stability.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 6–10 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering.
- Deep expertise with Snowflake architecture, SnowSQL, and Snowpipe.
- Strong proficiency in DBT for model development and testing.
- Advanced programming skills in Python and PySpark.
- Expert level SQL knowledge and data‑warehousing concepts.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, dimensional design, and ETL/ELT best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
