Laravel Backend Developer

About the Role

Would you like to work on a legal-tech application that functions as a digital legal department for e-commerce companies? At Händlerbund, you will develop robust backend solutions with Laravel, translating complex legal requirements into maintainable, scalable systems. You will work closely with frontend and product teams to optimize processes and deliver high-performance web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications and APIs using PHP and Laravel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate legal and business requirements into clean, scalable architecture.
• Optimize backend systems for maximum speed, security, and scalability.
• Implement automated unit and integration tests (PHPUnit) to ensure high code quality.
• Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, and architectural decision-making.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Solid professional experience in backend development with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), query optimization, and schema design.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Git version control, CI/CD workflows, and containerization (Docker).
• Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and enthusiasm for clean code.
