About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Go Consultant / Engineer who treats Go not only as a programming language but as a tool for building highly efficient infrastructures. You will communicate this expertise confidently to clients and drive scalable architecture designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high‑impact, business‑critical projects from day one after a focused onboarding period.
- Design and implement scalable, performant Go services and micro‑service architectures.
- Collaborate directly with client stakeholders at C‑level and architectural teams.
- Provide technical consulting, guiding clients on best practices, cost‑effective solutions, and long‑term sustainability.
- Mentor senior engineers and contribute to an open‑source‑first culture.
- Travel to client sites approximately once per quarter for on‑site workshops and reviews.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of professional Go development experience.
- Deep understanding of Go concurrency patterns, the Go ecosystem, and performance optimization.
- Proven experience designing and delivering micro‑service architectures on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Hands‑on experience with REST, gRPC, and API design.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills, able to articulate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with other systems languages such as Rust or C++.
- Contributions to open‑source Go projects.
- Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
