About the Role

Join Google's engineering team at the Berlin campus (Tucholskystr. 1) as a Software Engineer III, Full Stack (Google Cloud). You will design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that run at Google scale, impacting billions of users across our global portfolio of products.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement end‑to‑end full‑stack features for cloud‑native services.
Build responsive front‑end experiences using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Develop robust back‑end services in Java, Python or Go, exposing RESTful and gRPC APIs.
Leverage Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage) to deliver highly available and scalable solutions.
Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes (GKE).
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring to ensure reliability.
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers in agile squads.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong programming skills in Java, Python or Go.
Proficiency with front‑end frameworks, especially React and Node.js.
Deep understanding of cloud‑native architecture and GCP services.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Cloud Build, GitHub Actions).
Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice to Have

Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
Experience with Cloud Spanner, Cloud Firestore, or machine‑learning pipelines.
