Frontend Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to build and own product surfaces in NymbleUp's web app – a workforce‑scheduling, LMS and video‑analytics platform used daily by store managers and HR teams at large enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship end‑to‑end features using Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19 and TypeScript.
• Manage client‑side state with Zustand stores and selectors to ensure minimal re‑renders in data‑heavy UIs.
• Implement performance‑sensitive UI patterns such as row virtualization, memoized cells, debounced filters and Web Workers.
• Handle complex interactions like drag‑and‑drop, shift resizing, bulk actions and approval flows with accurate timezone handling.
• Collaborate closely with the Django backend team on API contracts, consuming typed Axios services.
• Extend and maintain the shared component library built on MUI 7 and SCSS design tokens.
• Debug production issues across multi‑tenant deployments and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5 years of professional experience building large‑scale web applications.
• Strong proficiency in Next.js (App Router), React, and TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Zustand or similar state‑management libraries.
• Deep understanding of performance optimization techniques (virtualization, memoization, Web Workers).
• Solid CSS skills, preferably with SCSS Modules and MUI theming.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs with Axios and writing type‑safe service layers.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with server‑side rendering and incremental static regeneration.
• Knowledge of video analytics or LMS domains.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library).
