About the Role
Mercari India is looking for a passionate Frontend Software Engineer to join our fast‑growing team in Bengaluru. You will build and enhance user‑focused web experiences for our marketplace platform, collaborating closely with product, design, and backend engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Implement responsive UI components with HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS frameworks.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow with Redux or Context API.
- Write unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to shared coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
- Optimize performance, accessibility, and SEO of web pages.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3‑5 years of professional experience building complex front‑end applications.
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or React Context.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
