Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

About the Role

ISS Market Intelligence is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer specialized in React to join our fast‑growing Mumbai team (Goregaon East). You will own end‑to‑end UI development for our global financial data platforms serving clients in the US, UK and Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance React applications using TypeScript, ES6+ and modern CSS.
• Build reusable component libraries and contribute to our design system.
• Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure accessibility compliance.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Backend Engineers to deliver user‑centric features.
• Mentor junior developers and champion a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience building complex web applications with React.
• Strong command of TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Deep understanding of state management (Redux, Context API) and component architecture.
• Experience with unit/integration testing using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with server‑side rendering (Next.js) or micro‑frontend architectures.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (code splitting, lazy loading, memoization).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerisation (Docker).
