About the Role

Join Google’s engineering team at the Mumbai campus (Bandra Kurla Complex) as a Machine Learning Engineer focusing on DeepMind and Search. You will design, develop, test, and deploy large‑scale machine learning solutions that power products used by billions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, prototype, and productionize state‑of‑the‑art ML models for search relevance and intelligent systems.
• Build scalable data pipelines and feature stores on Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with product, research, and infrastructure teams to integrate models into live services.
• Optimize models for latency, memory, and cost at Google scale.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best‑practice guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building and deploying ML/DL models in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python; proficiency with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with large‑scale data processing (e.g., Apache Beam, Spark) and cloud services (GCP).
• Solid understanding of algorithms, statistics, and software engineering principles.
• Track record of publishing research or delivering impactful ML solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with reinforcement learning, natural language processing, or computer vision.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD for ML workflows.
• Knowledge of distributed training frameworks such as TensorFlow Distributed or Horovod.
