About the Role

Join Google’s Seattle Engineering Campus to work on cutting‑edge AI for DeepMind and Search products. You’ll design, develop, test, and deploy large‑scale machine‑learning systems that impact billions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement end‑to‑end ML pipelines for search ranking, recommendation, and research initiatives.
• Collaborate with research scientists to translate novel algorithms into production‑ready code.
• Optimize models for latency, throughput, and cost on Google’s distributed infrastructure.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code‑review processes.
• Drive performance monitoring, A/B testing, and continuous improvement of AI services.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
• Hands‑on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Deep understanding of deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers).
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems (e.g., Kubernetes, TensorFlow Serving).
• Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• PhD or advanced degree in Computer Science, ML, or related field.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Vertex AI).
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning or probabilistic modeling.
• Contributions to open‑source ML libraries.
