PHP Developer

About the Role

India’s Future Investors (IFI) is a pioneering Money Entertainment Reality Show that blends finance, competition, and storytelling. As a PHP Developer, you will build and maintain the digital backbone that powers the show’s websites, contestant portals, and interactive audience experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP applications and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate with MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers, designers, and content teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement of the architecture.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, security, and integration issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2‑4 years of professional experience in PHP development.
• Strong understanding of OOP principles and MVC frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or similar).
• Proficiency with MySQL, writing complex queries, and optimizing database performance.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
• Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Docker or containerisation.
• Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached).
• Understanding of security best practices (OWASP, input sanitisation).
