PHP Developer

About the Role

Overseas Cyber Technical Services (OCTS) is seeking a motivated PHP Developer to join our fast‑growing engineering team in Karaikudi. You will design, develop, and maintain web applications using the LAMP stack, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented PHP code for new features and existing modules.
• Develop and integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third‑party services.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Client Services teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and automated deployment pipelines.
• Design database schemas, write optimized MySQL queries, and maintain data integrity.
• Provide timely support and bug fixes for production issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in PHP development.
• Proficiency with Laravel, WordPress, and the full LAMP stack.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Experience with Linux environments and version control (Git).
• Ability to write efficient SQL queries and design relational databases.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker or containerization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of front‑end frameworks like Vue.js or React.
