Senior Software Engineer (Laravel | Next.js | PostgreSQL)

About the Role

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Laravel, Next.js, and PostgreSQL to join our Bangalore team. You will drive the development of a large‑scale production web application, collaborating across the stack to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Laravel and PHP.
• Build responsive, performant frontend components with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Lead the migration of legacy MongoDB data to PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with DevOps to refine CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure automation.
• Identify bottlenecks, propose architectural improvements, and mentor junior engineers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience.
• Proficiency in Laravel, PHP, Next.js, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and message queues.
• Experience with GraphQL and Apollo.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of performance tuning and caching strategies.
