About the Role
Wissen Technology is seeking a Python Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance server‑side applications. You will work within agile pods delivering end‑to‑end features for mission‑critical systems across finance, healthcare, and retail domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust RESTful APIs and micro‑services using Python frameworks (Django/Flask).
- Integrate with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ensure optimal query performance.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests to guarantee code quality.
- Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, and front‑end engineers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deploy services using Docker and orchestrate on AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda).
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and monitor production health.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 1‑5 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Django or Flask and building RESTful services.
- Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and writing efficient SQL.
- Version control using Git and familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced agile environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with asynchronous frameworks like FastAPI or aiohttp.
- Knowledge of message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
