About the Role
Shuru is a self‑managed technology team that accelerates product, technology, and AI visions. We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance backend services and APIs for our mobile‑first solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Go.
- Build robust REST or gRPC APIs and micro‑services.
- Integrate with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
- Implement event‑driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD deployments, and production troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Go expertise.
- Deep understanding of concurrency, goroutines, channels, and Go best practices.
- Proven experience building APIs, micro‑services, and distributed systems.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, caching strategies, and message queues.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong problem‑solving, system‑design, and architectural skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated testing.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Knowledge of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).
- Background in AI/ML service integration.
