As a Senior PHP Laravel Developer you will lead the design and implementation of robust back‑end services while collaborating closely with UX designers and front‑end engineers to deliver a seamless full‑stack experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high‑performance Laravel APIs and services.
- Design and optimise relational database schemas (MySQL) and write efficient queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Implement SOLID principles and clean code practices to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using PHPUnit, PHPSpec or Behat.
- Integrate front‑end assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with back‑end endpoints, ensuring data consistency.
- Enforce security best practices, including input validation, authentication, and data encryption.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to continuous‑integration pipelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Strong command of SQL schema design, query optimisation, and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Proficiency in applying SOLID principles and design patterns in PHP.
