About the Role
Cognizant is seeking a seasoned Senior Angular Developer to join our Bangalore delivery centre. You will own the design, development, and production‑grade operation of modern, AI‑enhanced web applications that serve millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable Angular applications using standalone components, dependency injection, routing, and lifecycle hooks.
- Integrate secure RESTful services, handle authentication flows, and optimise front‑end performance and observability.
- Leverage GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude to accelerate code generation and prototype AI‑driven UI workflows.
- Write comprehensive unit tests (Jest/Jasmine/Karma) and end‑to‑end tests with Cypress.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, enforce Git‑based version control standards, and ensure smooth releases.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver accessible, responsive, and user‑centric interfaces.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of professional front‑end development experience, with deep expertise in Angular (v2+).
- Strong command of TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Hands‑on experience with RESTful API consumption, authentication mechanisms, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in unit testing frameworks (Jest, Jasmine/Karma) and E2E testing with Cypress.
- Experience with NPM, Git, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with GenAI‑powered development workflows and presenting AI insights in UI.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills in multicultural, distributed teams.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of RxJS advanced patterns and state management (NgRx, Akita).
- Experience with server‑side rendering (Angular Universal) and progressive web apps.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and internationalisation.
