Senior PHP Developer

About the Role

smartSense Consulting Solutions is seeking a passionate Senior PHP Developer to join our Gandhinagar office. You will work on building and enhancing robust web applications within our custom framework, collaborating closely with product, UI/UX, and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web‑based applications using PHP.
• Contribute to intuitive UI/UX designs across our product suite.
• Follow established software development lifecycle processes for design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience developing applications with PHP.
• Proficiency in front‑end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX.
• Strong experience with jQuery.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in Unix/Linux server environments.
• Understanding of Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
