Software Development Engineer - Frontend

About the Role

Vegapay is looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer – Frontend to join our Bengaluru team. You will craft intuitive, high‑performance web applications using React.js, collaborating closely with UX/UI designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize responsive web applications using React.js.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to implement new features.
• Write clean, maintainable code with proper testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
• Stay current with front‑end trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cross‑browser and device issues.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge within the team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 1‑2 years of professional experience in front‑end development.
• Strong proficiency in React.js, including Hooks and state management (Redux).
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with version control using Git.
• Knowledge of build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or ESLint.
• Good problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Exposure to testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
• Background in mobile development using React Native.
