Security Specialist

About the Role

Join Ericsson’s Global Cyber Defense Center (CDC) in Bengaluru as a Security Specialist. You will work in a 24/7 Security Operations Center, collaborating with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, AI, Red Team and other CDC teams to protect Ericsson’s global network from advanced threat actors.

Key Responsibilities

• Triaging and investigating prioritized security alerts, distinguishing true positives from false positives.
• Responding to security incidents, documenting findings, and escalating complex threats for containment and remediation.
• Leveraging AI‑enabled capabilities to automate repetitive tasks and improve SOC efficiency.
• Designing and enhancing detection rules, SOC workflows, and automation scripts.
• Staying current with emerging threats, tools, and techniques through continuous learning and peer collaboration.
• Participating in a rotational shift schedule, including weekend coverage, to ensure 24/7 protection.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 6–14 years of experience in SOC operations, security triage, incident response, and detection engineering.
• Hands‑on expertise with SIEM platforms, EDR/ITDR solutions (preferably CrowdStrike Falcon).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Proficiency in Windows, Linux, networking fundamentals, and identity management.
• Deep understanding of threat actor TTPs and ability to analyze telemetry and logs.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, a continuous‑learning mindset, and calm demeanor under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting frameworks and automation tools such as Python or PowerShell.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, GSEC, or cloud security certifications.
• Familiarity with AI/ML‑driven security analytics.
