Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Core Infrastructure

About the Role

Join Google's engineering team at the Gurugram campus, Signature Towers. As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) focusing on Core Infrastructure, you will design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions at Google scale, impacting billions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable core infrastructure services.
• Develop automation tools and frameworks to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs).
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-mortems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in site reliability, systems engineering, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix systems and networking.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Deep knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Stackdriver).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of security best practices in large-scale environments.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
